As Black History Month approaches, take a visit to the Indianapolis Public Library’s Center for Black Literature & Culture (CBLC), which is dedicated to celebrating the vibrant and resilient heritage and triumphs of those born of African roots.

Located in the R.B. Annis West Reading at the Central Library in Indianapolis, the Center for Black Literature & Culture is home to a 10,000+ item collection of books, CDs, magazines, movies, and research tools, all of which showcase black history and culture.

The creation of the CBLC was made possible by a grant from the Lilly Endowment Inc. Click here to learn more about Central Library’s Center for Black Literature & Culture.
